Care in the Community is all about helping people get on with their lives. The work is often challenging, rewarding and your contribution can really make a difference.

Health Care is one of the UK’s largest sectors with over 14 million people working in Hospitals, Care Homes and the Community, in the Private, Voluntary and Public sectors.

What opportunities are there?

Within the Health & Social Care sector there is a wide range of opportunities for employee’s to progress. Just some of the job roles in the sector include: Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Nurse, Community Support Worker,  Management

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and Apprenticeships

These are work related, competence based qualifications accredited by the Industry via Awarding Bodies.

You are required to build a portfolio of evidence around the every day tasks and responsibilities undertaken at work and increase your skills and knowledge to meet the required standard.

To achieve a full Apprenticeship Learners are required to complete the following:

  • NVQ
  • Technical Certifificate
  • Key Skills
