A4e Learning & Skills is the direct delivery arm of A4e. Our focus is to support employers with vocational learning in the work place.

We work with businesses across the UK developing and delivering solutions for a variety of companies including those businesses that have signed the Governments pledge to improve the skills of their workforce.

Do employers see staff development as a priority?

The recent CBI’s Education and Skills Survey key findings stated that:

63% of employers saw investment in skills as very important for achieving their strategic objectives.

72% of employers plan to maintain or increase their spending on training and development.

Employers also stated they need to ‘target their resources effectively in the early stages of economic recovery’.

How can A4e Learning & Skills help employers?

Learning & Skills can access funding to support your budget through its Employer Responsive contracts with the Government such as:-

• Apprenticeships
• European Social Funds (ESF)
• The Train to Gain Service

This means real support for business workforce development with accredited qualifications and bite sized / bespoke programmes to bridge skills gaps, developing newly appointed staff and professionalisation of the workforce backed by funding where appropriate.
