Welcome to Respect Week
Respect Week is about promoting understanding of people’s differences, needs and rights. It’s about recognising and valuing the learning and work community you are part of and how you can help build an environment that is respectful of everyone.
Respect Week is intended to:
- Reinforce all the positive behaviours we have already established within our work and learning community that promote dignity and respect for all.
- Develop understanding of the concepts and positive benefits of embracing equality and diversity within the workplace and society.
- Develop awareness of an individual’s human and civil rights and where to get legal and personal help with any issues relating to these rights.
- Develop awareness of the impact of disrespectful behaviour and how to challenge events and behaviours that infringe on an individual’s rights, dignity and well-being.
- Encourage action by providing staff and learners with the tools to act as leaders and role models.
We hope you will join us in making a world of difference.
All we ask during Respect Week is that you:
- Respect yourself
- Respect anyone different or disadvantaged
- Respect your surrounds
Imagine we ALL could make a difference and it’s free! It doesn’t cost a thing!
So join us, give it a try and let’s believe in love and respect for all.
